Cable Protect drastically reduces material and transport needs: while conventional methods require up to 160 tons of sand per kilometer, only 260 kg of geotextile are needed – easily transported in a single van trip. Excavated soil can be fully reused for backfilling, relieving landfills and quarries. Fewer truck trips also lower fuel consumption and CO₂ emissions, and with direct laying using a plow, all disposal processes can be avoided entirely.
The machine precisely applies the geotextile around the cable assembly, perfectly preparing the next stage of installation.
